Rome is one of those cities that stays with you. Even if you’re just passing through, there’s something magical about wandering its ancient streets and letting yourself fall into the rhythm of Italian life—even for just a day.
1. Visit Colosseum
Start your day with the big one. The Colosseum is powerful, even in its stillness. I recommend getting there early before the crowds roll in. Walk around it slowly. Step inside if you can. Book your ticket in advance so you can skip the line <3
2. Make a wish at the Trevi Fountain
It’s touristy, yes. But also undeniably enchanting. There’s something about the sound of the water, the way the marble glows in the sunlight, and the little moment of magic as you toss a coin over your shoulder and make a wish. Go early or just after sunset—it’s quieter.
3. Visit Pantheon
Step inside and look up. The Pantheon is over 2,000 years old, but still feels timeless. The oculus—the open circle at the top of the dome—lets in natural light (and sometimes rain), creating a soft, sacred stillness.
4. Slow Down at Piazza Navona
Wander over to Piazza Navona, one of my favorite open-air spots in Rome. Street artists, fountains, live music, espresso, and many nice restaurants.
5. Eat Real Italian Gelato
Not just any gelato—the real kind. Italian Gelato is the best!
6. End the day at the Spanish steps
As the sun begins to set, head to the Spanish Steps. Climb them slowly. Turn around and take in the rooftops and warm colors of the city in golden light. Sit. Breathe. Take a photo.

Toscana is one of the most beautiful and dreamy places I ever visited— it has a magical feeling. Think soft golden light, endless vineyards, ancient villages perched on hilltops, and sunsets. If you’re planning a trip to Tuscany here are seven magical things to do.
1. Stay in a castle or countryside farmhouse
There’s something special about waking up to birdsong and olive trees instead of in a city. In Tuscany, you can stay in centuries-old castles or cozy agriturismos — traditional farmhouses turned peaceful retreats. For me this was a dream!
Download the Agriturismo app to find authentic stays in beautiful castles, vineyards, and off-the-beaten-path farmhouses. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something local, charming, and unforgettable.
2. Rent a car and drive the Tuscan backroads
Public transport is great in cities, but to truly explore Tuscany — the vineyards, the villages, the fields that glow at golden hour — you can rent a car or a scooter. Renting a car gives you the freedom to stop at a tiny roadside café, pull over for unexpected views, and explore hidden towns at your own pace. Driving in Tuscany is part of the adventure.
3. Visit Florence — The heart of the renaissance
Florence is pure magic. It’s where Michelangelo sculpted David, Brunelleschi built the Duomo, and Botticelli painted The Birth of Venus. Wander across the Ponte Vecchio, sip espresso in Piazza della Signoria, and get lost in side streets filled with handmade leather and art history.
4. Get lost in the vineyards of Chianti
The Chianti hills are a dream come true for wine lovers and romantics alike. Drive or bike through this region’s winding roads, stop for wine tastings if you like. I don´t drink myself but still it is a wonderful experience to visit and just eating grapes!
5. Visit Lucca — One of the cutest cities I ever visited
Lucca is one of Tuscany’s best-kept secrets — a peaceful, elegant town wrapped inside perfectly preserved Renaissance walls. Lucca has all the charm of Tuscany without the crowds — perfect for slowing down, wandering aimlessly, and falling a little more in love with Italy.
6. Visit Pisa — More than a Tower
Pisa is famous for one thing — the Leaning Tower is worth the hype. It’s nice to see in person (yes, take the cheesy photo!). But once you’ve had your moment, take time to explore beyond the Piazza dei Miracoli. Stroll along the Arno River, discover gelato shops, and peek into quiet churches with centuries of stories.
7. Discover hidden villages and local markets
Florence and Pisa are iconic — but the real soul of Tuscany is in its tiny villages. Stroll through cobblestone streets, chat with local artisans, buy handmade ceramics or truffle oil, and breathe in that sweet, slow life.
Thank you for a beautiful, sunny and cute midsummer spent with family and friends. This is my favorite holiday of the year — a time to celebrate the light, the warmth, and the magic of summer.
Flower crowns, strawberries, laughter, and dancing around the maypole — it truly doesn’t get better than this <3
Uncle’s strawberries, Mum’s cake — yummi.
I feel grateful to have a big family and to have celebrated midsummer here since I was a kid. Traditions like this mean so much <3
10 Things I Love About Being Cabin Crew
1. Meeting people from all over the world
One of the best parts of the job is the chance to talk to people from different places and cultures — it keeps things interesting and opens your mind.

Layovers give me a bit of space to unwind, explore, or just relax. I really appreciate those quiet moments in new places.
3. Travelling on ID tickets in my free time
Being able to travel easily on standby tickets is fantastic — it makes spontaneous trips possible and keeps my love for travel alive.
4. Not bringing work home
When the flight is over, the work is done and that’s something I really value.
5. Working with colleagues from all over
The crew is a mix of nationalities and personalities. It’s great to learn from each other and see how people live in different parts of the world.
6. Every day is different
No two flights are the same. New passengers, new routes, new challenges — it keeps the job fresh.
7. Wearing the uniform
There’s a sense of pride in putting it on.
8. Feeling like you’re doing something important
We’re there for passengers’ safety. It’s rewarding to know that our presence makes a real difference, especially in situations where people need reassurance or help.
9. The view from above
Seeing the world from above — whether it’s a sunrise, lightning in the distance, or just a clear blue sky — is something special.
10. Being part of people’s journeys
Whether someone is travelling for a holiday, family visit, or something more emotional, it feels meaningful to play a small part in that.

Midsummer, or Midsommar in Swedish, is a big and joyful holiday in Sweden. Midsummer always falls on the third Friday in June. It celebrates the longest day of the year with fun traditions. Let’s go through a typical Midsummer day and see what we do!
1. Picking Flowers: Enjoying Nature
We start the day by picking wildflowers. In the morning, we go to fields and meadows to collect all kinds of pretty flowers. This isn’t just for decoration; it’s a special part of the day because these flowers are used later for making flower crowns.
2. Making Flower Crowns: Creating Beauty
After picking flowers, we make kransar (flower crowns). Everyone, especially kids and young people, loves making these crowns. We weave the flowers together into a circle and wear them on our heads. It’s a fun activity and makes everyone look festive.
3. Midsummer Lunch: Eating Together
For lunch, family and friends come together to enjoy traditional Swedish food. The main dishes often include sill (pickled herring) and potatis (potatoes), served with köttbullar (Swedish meatballs) and fresh salad. We also have gräddfil (sour cream) with gräslök (chives), boiled eggs, and crispbread and much more. Some enjoy drinking snaps (a Swedish liquor) while singing cheerful songs. It’s a time for delicious food and good company.
4. Dancing Around the Midsummer Pole: Having Fun
The midsommarstång (Midsummer pole) is the centerpiece of the day. It’s a tall pole decorated with flowers and leaves, and we dance around it. We sing songs and do fun dances like Små grodorna (The Little Frogs), which makes everyone laugh. We also play alot other games. It’s a great way to celebrate and enjoy the day.
5. Coffee and Cake: Sweet Break
After dancing, it’s time for a break with fika (a coffee break). We have coffee, tea and cakes. This is a nice moment to relax, chat with friends, and enjoy some sweet treats.
6. Taking a Nap: Relaxing
With our bellies full and after all the dancing, it’s common to take a nap. Whether it’s lying down on a blanket outside or resting indoors, this short nap helps us feel refreshed for the evening activities.
7. Taking a Swim: Enjoying the Ocean
After a refreshing nap, many people head to the sea for a swim. Swimming in the ocean is a wonderful way to cool down and enjoy the beautiful summer day. It’s fun to splash around and feel the cool water.
8. Evening Barbecue: Eating Together Again
As the evening continues, we gather again for a barbecue. We grill different meats and vegetables, and enjoy the delicious food together. It’s another chance to share stories and enjoy the long summer day.
9. Strawberry Cake and strawberries: Sweet Ending
No Midsummer is complete without jordgubbstårta (strawberry cake). This cake has layers of sponge cake, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries – there are many different kinds. It’s the perfect way to end the day with something sweet and tasty.
10. Picking Seven Flowers: A Cute Tradition
In the evening, we have a charming tradition that some people do: we pick seven different types of flowers. We put these flowers under our pillows when we go to bed. The legend says if you do this, you’ll dream about your future dream partner. It’s a fun and cute tradition…
